22-10-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked low pressure area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal (off Tamil Nadu coast, India) still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and may across North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Chin, Northern Shan States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and Rakhine State, scattered in Kachin, Kayah, Kayin States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Mandalay, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.68 inches in Bago, 2.50 inches in Paing Kyone, 2.23 inches in Thazi, 2.05 inches in Kungyangon, 2.01 inches in Kyeikkhame, 1.97 inches each in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) and Naypyitaw(Dekkhinathiri), 1.75 inches in Kyeiklat, 1.77 inches in Chaungsone and 1.73 inches each in Pyinmana(Walgyi) and Thazi(Hlaingtat).

BAYINFERENCE:   Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the Tropical storm “MATMO” crossed interior part of Guangxi and boundary areas of Northern Vietnam has moved Westwards and continue to cross Northern part of Vietnam.  It is likely continue to move Westwards and cross over Northern Vietnam and downgraded into a Land Depression during next 9 hrs and may cross over Yunnan, China.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway, Sagaing Regions and Northern Shan State, scattered in Mandalay Region and Kachin, Kayah, Chin, Rakhine States and fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Eastern Shan State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Yangon, Bago Regions and Mon, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Shan State.
