SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago Regions and Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin State, isolated in Mandalay Region and (Northern and Southern) Shan State with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.25 inches in Myeik, 2.24 inches in Homalin, 2.09 inches in Madauk, 1.77 inches in Phyu, 1.69 inches in Hmawbi, 1.65 inches in Shwekyin, 1.54 inches in Hkamti, 1.50 inches in Pyinmana(Walgyi), 1.38 inches in Yangon(Kabaaye) and 0.94 inch each in Zaung Tu and Kangyidaunt.
BAYINFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Northeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayin States, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin, (Northern and Southern) Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Mon, Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
