SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and (Northern and Southern)Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago Regions and Kachin, Chin, Mon States and isolated in Yangon, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions. weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.17 inches in Taunggu(Avia-Met), 2.05 inches in Mogaung, 1.26 inches in Pyinmana(Walgyi), 0.75 inch in Myitnge, 0.71 inch in Pyinoolwin, 0.67 inch in Hakha and 0.59 inch each in Phyu, Belin and Naungcho.
BAY INFERENCE Weather is a few cloud over the Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the Tropical Storm “FENGSHEN” is crossing South Luzon Island, Philippines has moved North-Northwest and reached West Luzon Island and adjoining West Philippine Sea. It is likely to move Northwest and continue to move West Philippine Sea.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwday, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, (Northern and Southern)Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
