BAY INFERENCE:  Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and Northeast and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Tropical Storm “FENGSHEN” over the West Philippine Sea has moved Northwestwards and reached into the South China Sea. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and intensify into a Severe Tropical Storm “FENGSHEN” during next 24 hours.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 20th October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, (Northern and Southern)Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Mon State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Ayeyarwday Region. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Taninthayi Region.
