SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread  in  Ayeyarwady Region and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread  in Upper Sagaing Region and Southern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State and isolated in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.00 inches in Ingabu, 0.75 inch in Tharrawady, 0.59 inch in Thazi(Hlaingtat), 0.52 inch in Ngapudaw, 0.47 inch each in Labutta and Ye, 0.41 inch in Bogale and 0.39 inch each in Gyobingauk, Okpho, Myaungmya and Hainggyigyun.

BAY INFERENCE:  Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the Tropical Storm “FENGSHEN” over the South China Sea has moved West-Northwestwards. Thereafter, it is likely to move Westwards and intensify into a Severe Tropical Storm “FENGSHEN” during next 15 hours.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Southern Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Ayeyarwday, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Mon, Rakhine States.
