SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been islolated in Chin, Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon Region and Eastern Shan State and fairly widespread  in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan State with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.97 inches in Ela, 1.56 inches in Nyaungdon, 1.39 inches in Pantanaw, 1.21 inches in Phyarpon, 1.01 inches in Bogale, 0.76 inch in Laiway, 0.59 inch in Einme, 0.43 inch in Mongyang, 0.39 inch in Dedaye and 0.36 inch in Kungyangon.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the well marked low pressure area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal(off Tamil Nadu Coast, India) still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and further intensify into a Depression over the Southwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal(off North Tamil Nadu Coast and South Andhra Pradesh Coast,India) during next 12 hrs and may reach to the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts on 23-10-2025. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

 

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Tropical Storm “FENGSHEN” over South China Sea has moved West-Southwestwards and It is centered at about 130 Nautical miles Northeast of Da Nang (Vietnam).

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon Region and Mon State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwday, Taninthayi Regions. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine States.
