SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and islolated in Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Chin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.38 inches in Machanbaw, 0.20 inch in Thayat and 0.04 inch in Chauk.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and become more marked during next 24 hours. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th October 2025: Weather will be partly cloudy in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States. Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet in off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairlywidespread rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region.
