BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over Southeast Bay and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal during next 12 hours and into a Deep Depression on 26-10-2025 and into a Cyclonic Storm over the Southwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal on 27-10-2025.Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea၊ South Bay and West Central Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 25th October 2025: Weather will be partly cloudy in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah,Kayin and Shan States. Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Regions, and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Regions. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 mph.
