1-11-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, a low pressure area has formed over the North Andaman Sea and adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the Westcentral Bay and Southwest Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and islolated in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway Regions and Chin, Mon States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.63 inch in Belin, 0.59 inch in Theinzayet, 0.35 inch in Kyaunggon, 0.32 inch in Kawthaung, 0.24 inch in Bago, 0.10 inch in Laymyethna, 0.09 inch in Nyaungdon and 0.08 inch each in Coco Island and Pyinoolwin.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “MONTHA” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwest and reached over the Southwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about 515 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 260 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Chennai(India), 305 Nautical miles Southeast of Kakinada (India). It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and intensify into Severe Cyclonic Storm on 28-10-2025 and cross Andhra Pradesh Coast on that night. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th October 2025:. Rain or thundershowers will be farily widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. 
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
