BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “MONTHA” over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards still persists. It is centered at about 630 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 210 Nautical miles Northeast of Chennai(India) and 70 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Kakinada (India).Weather is a few cloud over the Northeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States and isolated in Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and Chin, Southern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
