SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Region and islolated in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway Regions and Chin, Southern Shan States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.38 inches in Gyobingauk, 1.14 inches in Ywangan, 1.06 inches each in Laiway and Dawei, 0.87 inch in Phyarpon, 0.71 inch in Pyinoolwin, 0.59 inch in Myeik, 0.32 inch in Kawthaung, 0.16 inch each in Ngathaichaung and Labutta and 0.12 inch in Gangaw.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “MONTHA” has crossed Southern Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh Coast, India and moved North-Northwestwards downgraded into Cyclonic Storm “MONTHA” over the interior regions of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is likely continue to move North- Northwestwards and may cross interior regions of India and gradually weaken. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay, Eastcentral Bay and Southwest Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th October 2025: Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah, Shan States. Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Ayeyarwady Region and Kayin, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts. 
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
