SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Ayeyarwady Region, scattered in Yangon, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Mon, Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Sagaing Regions. Night temperatures were 2°C below November average temperature in Rakhine State and 2°C above November average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Chin, Northern Shan States, 3°C to 4°C above November average temperatures in Kachin, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 13.2°C in Hakha, 15.1°C in Loilin, 15.2°C in Heho, 16.2°C in Homalin and 16.6°C in Taunggyi. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.19 inches in Kalewa, 2.52 inches in Kalay, 2.28 inches in Myeik, 2.16 inches in Patheingyi(Shwesayan), 1.85 inches in Labutta, 1.81 inches in Hakha, 1.77 inches in Shwebo, 1.65 inches in Katha, 1.48 inches in Patheingyi and 1.42 inches in Phaung Pyin.
SPECIAL FEATURES: : According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the Typhoon “KALMAEGI” over the South China Sea has moved West-Northwestwards still persists. It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and may reach into the Vietnam Coast on night of 6-11-2025.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th November 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Eastern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States. THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
