SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Eastern Shan State, scattered in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin State and isolated in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Mon States. Weather has been generally fair in Chin, Rakhine States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 3°C below November average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, 2°C above November average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Region, 3°C above November average temperatures in Kayah, Rakhine and (Northern and Eastern) Shan States and 5°C above November average temperature in Southern Shan State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 4.6°C in Hakha, 10.5°C each in Homalin and Putao, 11.5°C in Mingin, 12.0°C in Machanbaw, 13.5°C in Mohnyin, 13.8°C in Kalewa, 14.0°C in Loilin and 14.4°C in Hkamti. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.82 inch in Tachileik, 0.59 inch in Coco-Island, 0.48 inch in Monghpyak, 0.44 inch in Mongyawng, 0.28 inch each in Kawthaung and Kengtung, 0.24 inch in Minesat and 0.12 inch each in Kawkareik and Namsan(Southern Shan).
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move slowly West-Northwestwards during the next 24 hours. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay, a few cloud over the Westcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th November 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in (Southern and Eastern) Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Northern Shan States and isolated in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
