BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal on 24-11-2025. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 23rd November 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Lower Sagaing, Magway Region and Chin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.
