BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over Northeast of Indonesia and adjoining the Strait of Malacca has moved Eastwards and reached the Strait of Malacca and it is centered at about 380 Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 110 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia) and 170 Nautical miles Southeast of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia). It is likely continue to move Eastwards and may weak into a depression during next 6 hours. According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North-Northwestwards and it is centered at about 800 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 125 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Trincomalee(Srilanka), 340 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(India). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm during next 6 hours. Thereafter, it is likely continuing to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify towards North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Typhoon “KOTO” over the South China Sea has moved slowly Westwards and it is centered at about 340 Nautical miles of Danang, Vietnam. It is likely slowly to move Southwestwards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th November 2025: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Shan States.
