BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Strait of Malacca has moved Eastwards and downgraded into a Depression. it is likely continuing to move Eastwards and downgrad into a Low Pressure Area during next 24 hours. According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North-Northwest and intensified into a Cyclonic Storm“DITWAH”. It is centered at about 800 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 110 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Trincomalee(Srilanka), 330 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and crossed eastern part of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reached over the North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 18:30 hrs MST today, the Typhoon “KOTO” over the South China Sea has moved slowly Westwards and it is centered at about 350 Nautical miles of Danang, Vietnam. It is likely slowly to move West-Southwestwards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 28th November 2025: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Shan States.
