8-1-2026 : According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved West-Northwestwards and intensified into a Deep Depression. It is centered at about 715 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Coco- Island (Myanmar), 290 Nautical miles Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and 490 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka). It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may near Sri Lanka near during 36 hours. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Northern Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 3°C to 4°C below December average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Eastern Shan States, 2°C below December average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon, Southern Shan States and 2°C above December average temperature in Kachin State and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 4.4°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 4.8°C in Hakha, 5.4°C in Heho, 5.8°C each in Tiddim and Pinlaung, 6.0°C in Loilin, 7.0°C in Mongyang, 8.8°C in Pyinoolwin, 8.9°C in Loikaw and 9.2°C each in Lashio, Taunggyi and Kengtung.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts (India) has moved slowly Southwestwards and downgraded into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely continue to move slowly Southwestwards and across the inland areas of Tamil Nadu, India and then weaken into a low-pressure area during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and Eastecentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th December 2025: Weather will be partly cloudy in Mandalay, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Northern Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated light rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
