It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal, a few cloud over the Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th December 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Yangon, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated light rain in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Southern Shan States.
