It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal, a few cloud over the Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Bago, Lower Sagaing Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 3°C below December average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region, 2°C below December average temperatures in Kachin, Chin States and 2°C above December average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Southern Shan States and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 1.2°C in Hakha, 4.8°C in Putao, 5.0°C in Tiddim, 6.5°C in Machanbaw, 7.4°C each in Mingin and Loilin, 9.0°C in Heho, 9.3°C in Pinlaung, 9.5°C in Homalin, Naungcho and Mongyang, 9.7°C in Namsan(Southern Shan) and 9.8°C in Lashio.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th December 2025: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Weather will be generally fair in the whole country.
