SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, light rain have been isolated in Kachin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Eastern Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 3°C below December average temperature in Kayah State, 2°C below December average temperature in Rakhine State, 2°C above December average temperature in Chin State, 4°C above December average temperature in Kachin State and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 1.7°C in Loilin, 2.4°C in Heho, 3.2°C each in Hakha and Pinlaung, 4.3°C in Namsan (Southern Shan), 6.0°C in Mongyang, 6.4°C in Loikaw, 7.0°C in Tiddim, 7.5°C in Nyaungshwe and 7.7°C in Lashio. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was 0.04 inch in Machanbaw.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st January 2026: Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Chin, Rakhine, (Northern and Southern)Shan States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-5 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated light rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States.
