SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Yangon, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 3°C below January average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Chin State, 2°C below January average temperatures in Mandalay, Bago Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were -0.8°C in Hakha, 3.2°C each in Tiddim and Namsan(Southern Shan), 3.4°C in Heho, 3.9°C in Loilin, 4.8°C in Pinlaung, 5.0°C each in Hsipaw and Mongyang, 6.0°C in Lashio and 6.6°C in Putao.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining east Equatorial India Ocean has intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and reach over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining east Equatorial India Ocean during next 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7^th January 2026: Weather will be partly cloudy in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon,( Northern and Eastern)Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Shan States.
