BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining east Equatorial India Ocean still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and intensify into a Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th January 2026: Weather will be partly cloudy in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon,( Northern and Eastern)Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Shan States.FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 7th January 2026: Generally fair weather.
