BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has move West-Northwestwards and no lies over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean. It is centered at about 685 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Coco- Island (Myanmar), 340 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and 535 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka).Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 8th January 2026: Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw and Chin, Kayah States and partly cloud in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
