BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved Northwestwards and reached over Southwest Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about 845 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco-Island (Myanmar), 180 Nautical miles Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and 420 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka).Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea, North Bay of Bengal and East Central Bay and partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 9th January 2026: Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Chin, Mon State and partly cloud in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Kachin, Shan States.
