SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 5°C below January average temperature in Taninthayi Region, 2°C below January average temperatures in Kayin, Mon, Northern Shan States and 2°C above January average temperature in Ayeyarwady Region and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 3.0°C in Hakha, 3.4°C each in Namsan(Southern Shan) and Heho, 4.0°C in Loilin, 5.0°C each in Hsipaw, Pinlaung and Mongyang, 5.8°C in Putao, 6.4°C in Lashio, 6.6°C in Tiddim and 7.5°C in Mohnyin.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th January 2026: Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Southern Shan States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
