SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C below January average temperature in Northern Shan State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 1.3°C in Hakha, 3.5°C in Loilin,  4.4°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 4.5°C each in Hsipaw and Heho, 5.2°C in Lashio, 5.3°C in Tiddim, 5.5°C in Pinlaung, 6.8°C in Pyinoolwin, 7.4°C in Putao and 7.8°C in Taunggyi.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th January 2026: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. 
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-5 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin, Shan States.
