SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Northern Shan State, scattered in Magway Region, (Eastern and Southern)Shan State, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Rakhine and Mon States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kyeikkhame (4.02)inches, Hkamti (3.74)inches, Naypyitaw Airport(Ela) (3.51)inches, Myauk U (3.39)inches, Belin (2.99)inches, Pyinmana(Walgyi) (2.92)inches, Kyauktaw (2.76)inches, Paletwa (2.64)inches, Laiway (2.56)inches, Kyaukpyu (2.43)inches, Paing Kyone and Theinzayet (2.32)inches each, Hmawbi (2.24) inches, Pinlaung (2.20)inches, Kyeikdon (2.12)inches, Tatkon (2.05)inches and Shan-Ywar-Thit (2.02) inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is generally strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th JULY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Chin and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region, Kachin, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7 - 10) feet  off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong monsoon.
