SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain have been widespread in Southern Shan State, scattered in Kayin State and isolated in Yangon, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Magway, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 3°C below February average temperature in Chin State and 2°C above February average temperatures in Magway Region and Kayah, Northern Shan States, 3°C to 4°C above February average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon, Eastern Shan States, 7°C above February average temperature in Southern Shan State and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 0.0°C in Hakha, 5.0°C in Tiddim, 5.7°C in Mongyang, 8.6°C in Putao, 8.8°C in Lashio, 9.0°C each in Machanbaw and Namsan(Southern Shan), 9.4°C in Hsipaw and 9.8°C in Mohnyin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded 0.71 inch in Heho, 0.49 inch in Kalaw, 0.39 inch in Taunggyi, 0.35 inch in Yamethin, 0.20 inch in Hopong, 0.16 inch in Pinlaung, 0.12 inch in Nyaung Shwe, 0.11 inch in Pindaya, 0.08 inch each in Namsan(Southern Shan), Loilin and Ywangan and 0.04 inch in Myeik.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal, partly cloudy to cloudy over the Westcentral Bay and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th February 2026: Isolated light rain are likely in Taninthayi Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be generally fair in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin, Rakhine States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-5 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
