BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move west–northwestwards towards Sri Lanka and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean during next 24 hours. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and over the South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 19th February 2026: Scattered rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States, isolated rain or thundershowers in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Magway, Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayah, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States, generally fair in Lower Saging Region and Chin State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
