BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West–Northwestwards towards Sri Lanka during next 24 hours and and weaken gradually. Weather is partlyc cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th February 2026: Fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region, scattered rain or thundershowers in Kayin, Mon States and isolated rain or thundershowers in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be generally fair in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
