SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Eastern Shan State and isolated in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C above February average temperature in Kayin State, 3°C to 4°C above February average temperatures in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Chin, Mon, Northern Shan States, 5°C to 6°C above February average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Eastern Shan State and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 6.5°C in Mongyang, 8.5°C each in Heho and Loilin, 9.0°C each  in Putao and Machanbaw, 9.3°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 10.2°C in Tiddim, 10.8°C in Lashio and 11.5°C each in Mohnyin and Hakha. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.27 inch in Tachileik and 0.20 inch in Monghsat.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 13:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal almost stationary and still persists. It is likely to move West–Northwestwards towards Sri Lanka during next 24 hours. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over South Bay of Bengal, a few cloud the Andaman Sea and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21St February 2026: Isolated light rain or thundershowers are likely in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated light rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Shan States.
