BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West- Northwest and may reach Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoning Equatorial Indian Ocean during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud the South Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd February 2026: Scattered rain or thundershowers in Kayah, Kayin, Mon and Southern Shan States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Mon, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Magway, Kayah, Kayin, Mon and Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Shan States.
