SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Yangon, Bago Regions and Kachin, Kayin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon, Southern Shan States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C above February average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayin State, 3°C to 4°C above February average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon, (Northern and Southern)Shan States, 5°C to 6°C above February average temperatures in Kayah, Eastern Shan States and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 7.3°C each in Hakha and Tiddim, 9.4°C in Putao, 10.0°C each in Heho and Mongyang, 10.5°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 11.0°C in Mohnyin, 11.2°C in Loilin, 12.0°C in Pinlaung, 12.2°C in Homalin and 12.5°C in Hsipaw. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.62 inch in Mongyawng and 0.04 inch in Mongton.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely continue to move Northeastwards during next 24 hours and weaken gradually. Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th February 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Shan States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Shan States.
