SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw and isolated in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C above February average temperatures in Yangon, Bago Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States, 3°C to 4°C above February average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Rakhine States, 5°C to 6°C above February average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Shan State and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 5.4°C in Hakha, 8.3°C in Tiddim, 12.0°C each in Homalin and Putao, 12.2°C in Loilin, 13.0°C in Mongyang, 14.1°C in Tharrawady and 14.2°C each in Kalewa, Namsan(Southern Shan) and Pinlaung. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.51 inch in Tharrawady, 0.32 inch in Nyaung Shwe, 0.29 inch in Homein, 0.28 inch in Okkan, 0.26 inch in Ingapu, 0.24 inch each in Phyu and Hinthada, 0.20 inch in Zalun, 0.19 inch in Tachileik, 0.12 inch each in Dawei and Monghsat and 0.10 inch in Mongton.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal has weaken. Weather is a few cloud over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th February 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Kayah, Southern Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
