SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin, Eastern Shan States, fairly widespread in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan State, scattered in Yangon and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Mon States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 3°C below February average temperatures in Chin State and 2°C above February average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Rakhine, Southern Shan States, 3°C above February average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State, 5°C above February average temperatures in (Northern and Eastern) Shan State and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 3.0°C in Hakha, 6.5°C in Tiddim, 7.7°C in Loilin, 9.0°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 9.7°C in Putao, 9.8°C in Pinlaung, 12.0°C each in Heho and Mongyang and 12.7°C in Taunggyi. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.79 inch each in Mohnyin and Hsipaw, 0.49 inch in Monghpyak, 0.30 inch in Laihka, 0.28 inch in Kyonepyaw, 0.24 inch each in Ngathaichaung and Thabaung, 0.20 inch each in Okkan, Shwekyin and Mong Kung, 0.19 inch in Tachileik, 0.16 inch each in Madauk and Mongyang and 0.14 inch in Lemyethna.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
