SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, light rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kachin, Northern Shan States. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 4°C below February average temperature in Chin State, 2°C below February average temperatures in Kayah, Southern Shan States and 2°C above February average temperatures in Mon, Rakhine, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 2.2°C in Hakha, 4.2°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 5.1°C in Loilin, 6.3°C in Tiddim, 6.7°C in Heho, 8.4°C in Pinlaung, 9.0°C in Mongyang, 9.2°C in Lashio, 10.5°C in Loikaw and 11.0°C in Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was 0.04 inch in Hsipaw.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea, South Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st March 2026: Isolated light rain or thundershowers are likely in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 60%.
