SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, light rain have been isolated in Kayin State. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Chin State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 2°C above March average temperatures in Kachin, Chin States, 2°C below March average temperatures in Yangon Region and Kayah State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 38.3°C each in Mandalay and Kawkareik, 38.2°C each in Tada U(Avia-Met) and Myawaddy, 38.0°C in Sagaing, 37.6°C in Minbu, 37.4°C in Chauk and 37.1°C in Myinmu on 6-3-2026.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th March 2026: Isolated light rain or thundershowers are likely in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Eastern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Chin, Kayah, (Northern and Southern)Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
