SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C above March average temperature in Chin State and 2°C above March average temperature in Lower Sagaing Region and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 39.4°C in Minbu, 38.8°C in Myingyan, 38.6°C in Tada U(Avia-Met), 38.5°C each in Mandalay, Myinmu and Kawkareik, 38.2°C each in Chauk and Sagaing and 38.0°C each in Sinbyugyun and Shwebo on 7-3-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was 1.38 inches in Myeik.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and North Bay of Bengal and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9th March 2026: Scattered rain or thundershowers are likely in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States.
