SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Eastern Shan State and isolated in Kachin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Southern Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C above March average temperatures in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan States and 2°C above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Eastern Shan States and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 40.5°C each in Mandalay and Minbu, 40.4°C each in Magway and Sagaing, 40.3°C in Tada U(Avia-Met), 40.2°C in Chauk, 40.0°C each in Kyaukse(Lunkyaw), Sinbyugyun and Myinmu and 39.7°C in Myingyan on 9-3-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.10 inches in Tachileik, 0.92 inch in Mongyawng, 0.51 inch in Mongyang, 0.46 inch in Monghpyak, 0.30 inch in Mongkhat and 0.24 inch in Kengtung.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal, partly cloudy over the South Bay of Bengal and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th March 2026: Fairly rain or thundershowers are likely in Eastern Shan State and isolated light rain or thundershowers are likely in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Southern Shan States.
