SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Eastern Shan State, scattered in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and isolated in Bago Region and Kayin State. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Chin, Rakhine States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 2°C below March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions, 3°C to 4°C below March average temperatures in Kayah, Southern Shan States, 5°C below March average temperatures in Kachin, Eastern Shan States and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 40.8°C each in Chauk  and Minbu, 39.4°C in Sinbyugyun, 39.0°C each in Myingyan, Magway, Pakokku, Shwebo and Myinmu,  38.9°C in Kawkareik, 38.8°C in Monywa and 38.7°C in Nyaung Oo on 14-3-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.65 inches in Mogaung, 1.53 inches in Tachileik,  1.22 inches each in Putao and Machanbaw, 0.87 inch in Ngathaichaung, 0.79 inch each in Coco Island and Monghsat, 0.76 inch in Laihka, 0.39 inch in Pathein, 0.35 inch in Hmawbi(Agro-Met), 0.31 inch in Mohnyin and 0.28 inch in Monghpyak.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th March 2026:  Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Eastern Shan State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State and isolated in Yangon, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Southern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be  partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-5 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: : Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States.
