SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State and isolated in Mandalay, Bago Regions and Kachin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 2°C above March average temperatures in Kayin, Mon States and 4°C below March average temperature in Kachin State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 40.2°C in Chauk, 39.6°C in Hpa-an(Agro-Met), 39.5°C each in Taunggu and Minbu, 39.4°C each in Magway and Aunglan and 39.0°C each in Tada U(Avia-Met), Bago, Phyu, Taungdwingyi and Hpa-an on 19-3-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.04 inch each in Yamethin and Monywa.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Westcentral Bay and Southwest Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy  over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st March 2026: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States and isolated in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Shan States. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region and Chin, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Shan States.
