SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State and scattered in Upper Sagaing Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 2°C above March average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Kayin State and 2°C below March average temperatures in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, 3°C below March average temperatures in Chin, (Northern and Southern) Shan States and 5°C to 6°C below March average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 40.0°C in Hpa-an(Agro-Met), 39.3°C in Tharrawady, 39.2°C each in Shwekyin and Chauk, 39.0°C each in Kyaukse(Lunkyaw), Phyu, Minbu and Hpa-an, 38.9°C in Kawkareik and 38.8°C each in Taunggu and Bago on 22-3-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.33 inches in Mogaung, 0.79 inch in Hkamti, 0.75 inch in Putao, 0.63 inch in Mohnyin and 0.16 inch in Myitkyina.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th March 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Shan State. Degree of certainty is 80%. and Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Kachin State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State.
