SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, light rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kachin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Mandalay, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, (Northern and Southern)Shan States and generally fair weather in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 2°C above March average temperatures in Kayin, Mon States and 2°C below March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing Region and Chin, Southern Shan States, 3°C below March average temperature in Mandalay Region and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 39.6°C in Chauk, 39.4°C in Theinzayet, 39.2°C in Hpa-an(Agro-Met), 39.0°C each in Hpa-an and Kawkareik, 38.8°C in Mawlamyine, 38.7°C in Tharrawady, 38.6°C each in Bago and Myawaddy and 38.5°C in Gyobingauk on 23-3-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was 0.04 inch in Machanbaw.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th March 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 80%.
