SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, light rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Kachin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, (Northern and Southern)Shan States and generally fair weather in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 2°C above March average temperatures in Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Northern Shan States and 3°C above March average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 41.5°C in Minbu, 40.6°C in Sinbyugyun, 40.4°C each in Bago and Chauk, 40.3°C in Taunggu, 40.2°C in Shwekyin, 40.1°C each in Nyaung Oo and Myinmu and 40.0°C each in Myingyan, Phyu, Taungdwingyi and Hpa-an on 27-3-2026.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Andaman Sea and Central Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th March 2026: Scattered light rain or thundershowers are likely in Kachin State and isolated light rain or thundershowers are likely in Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Kachin, Chin States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated light rain or thundershowers in Mandalay, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Northern Shan States.
