SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers has been scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and isolated in Chin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States and generally fair weather in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C above March average temperature in Taninthayi Region, 2°C above March average temperatures in Yangon, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States and 2°C below March average temperature in Kachin State, 3°C below March average temperature Upper Sagaing Region and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 42.2°C in Minbu, 41.3°C in Taunggu, 41.1°C in Zaung Tu, 41.0°C in Magway, 40.9°C each in Bago, Aunglan and Sinbyugyun, 40.6°C in Chauk, 40.5°C in Phyu and 40.3°C in Myawaddy on 30-3-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.12 inch in Mawlaik and 0.04 inch in Machanbaw.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st April 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Northern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be generally fair weather in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-5 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated light rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Northern Shan States.
