SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers has been scattered in Chin State and isolated in Mandalay, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan States. Weather has been partly cloudy in Magway, Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States and generally fair weather in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 2°C above March average temperatures in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 43.0°C in Minbu, 41.8°C in Magway, 41.4°C each in Chauk and Myinmu, 41.0°C each in Myingyan, Taungoo, Taungdwingyi and Sinbyugyun, 40.8°C in Aunglan and 40.6°C in Pyay on 31-3-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was 0.16 inch in Hakha.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd April 2026: Light rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Northern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States and generally fair weather in the remaining Regions and States.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-5 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
