SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers has been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Mandalay Region and Northern Shan State. Weather has been generally fair weather in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C above April average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions, 2°C above April average temperatures in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 43.2°C in Minbu, 42.1°C in Magway, 42.0°C in Sinbyugyun, 41.1°C in Taungoo, 41.0°C each in Myingyan, Nyaung Oo, Pyay, Myinmu and Hinthada and 40.8°C each in Yamethin and Chauk on 1-4-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.67 inch in Mogaung, 0.39 inch in Putao, 0.28 inch in Machanbaw and 0.12 inch in Mogoke.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd April 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan State. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be generally fair weather in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago Regions and Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-5 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
