SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers has been scattered in Kachin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Yangon, Mandalay, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States and generally fair weather in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Mandalay, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State, 2°C above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 42.9°C in Myinmu, 42.8°C in Nyaung Oo, 42.6°C in Myingyan, 42.5°C in Monywa, 42.2°C each in Tada U(Avia-Met), Chauk, Magway and Sinbyugyun and 42.0°C each in Minbu and Sagaing on 2-4-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.10 inches in Putao and 0.79 inch in Machanbaw.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Andaman Sea, North Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th April 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Mandalay Region and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Shan States and generally fair weather in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-5 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
