SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers has been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Mandalay Region. Weather has been generally fair weather in Ayeyarwady Region and Kayah, Eastern Shan States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C above April average temperatures in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and Northern Shan State, 2°C above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Chin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 42.8°C in Chauk, 42.5°C in Myingyan, 42.2°C in Nyaung Oo, 42.1°C in Myinmu, 42.0°C each in Sinbyugyun and Monywa, 41.8°C in Tada U(Avia-Met), 41.6°C in Minbu and 41.5°C each in Kyaukse(Lunkyaw), Magway and Shwebo on 4-4-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.43 inch in Machanbaw, 0.32 inch in Putao and 0.27 inch in Meiktila.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th April 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be generally fair weather in Ayeyarwady Region and Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Kachin State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-5 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
