SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers has been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Mandalay, Sagaing Regions and Chin, Mon, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Sagaing Region and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, 2°C above April average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Southern Shan States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 43.7°C in Myinmu, 43.4°C in Chauk, 42.8°C in Myingyan, 42.3°C in Nyaung Oo, 42.0°C each in Tada U(Avia-Met), Minbu and Monywa, 41.5°C in Shwebo and 41.2°C each in Mandalay and Sagaing on 5-4-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.87 inch in Ywanyan, 0.24 inch each in Kyaukse(Lunkyaw) and Putao, 0.20 inch in Machanbaw, 0.18 inch in Mongton, 0.08 inch in Sagaing, 0.06 inch in Tachileik and 0.04 inch each in Mandalay and Kalay.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th April 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Chin, Shan States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay Region and Kachin, Kayah, Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
